My name is Rob Weber, I’m an advertising photography student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I used to keep this blog as a way to share recent work with my parents, but I now want to start writing a little bit about what I am doing in terms of trying to position myself for a career in photography. Each update will fall into one of three categories.

Recent Work- This will consist of photos I’ve been working on and photos that I’ve been thinking about making.

Photo Career- I will talk about something that I have learned either about how to position oneself in the industry to succeed or the actual act of photography. This section, as the name might imply, is about making a career out of photography. The Photo Career category will have a sub-section called Tech Out, where new equipment I’m excited about or new innovations go.

The Others- This will center around the work of others. Occasionally I will have guest bloggers write an entry about their work and where they’re going with it. I will also put up work that I’ve seen others doing that is inspiring in this category.
